There are two real eye-opening things about reducing stress. One is that it may have taken you years or even decades to get really stressed out, but you can dramatically dump your stress in a matter of hours, days or weeks at the most. The other is that as complicated and sometimes incomprehensible as stress can be - such as if you're stressed out because of 100 different things all attacking you at the same time - the "exit" to stress is often very simple.
